PDX Bus Privacy Statement

Effective Date: 26/5/2025

PDX Bus is designed to respect your privacy. This document explains what data is used and how.

1. No Personal Data Collection

PDX Bus does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from users. Your location, transit requests, and preferences remain on your device.

2. Transit Data Requests

To provide real-time arrival times, maps, and service alerts, the app makes anonymous requests to:

  • TriMet (Portland’s public transit agency)
  • Umo IQ (for some Portland Streetcar stops and real-time data)

These requests may include:

  • Stop IDs or route numbers you query
  • Your approximate location (if you use nearby stop features)

These requests are not linked to any identity and are never stored by PDX Bus.

You can review their privacy policies here:

3. No Tracking or Analytics

PDX Bus does not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not monitor or record your usage behavior.

4. No Accounts or Logins

PDX Bus does not require an account, sign-in, or registration. All features are accessible anonymously.

5. Web Server Logs

If the app interacts with external content hosted by us (e.g., help pages), standard web server logs may record:

  • IP address
  • Browser/app version
  • Timestamp

These logs are used solely for diagnostics and security monitoring and are not tied to individuals.
